For parents and guardians

Welcome to Giant

Hello Parents and Guardians!

We're Giant, a passionate team of parents and creatives dedicated to making delightful, educational adventures for kids. Your child's safety and privacy are at the heart of everything we do, and we're excited to invite your family into our magical world.

Giant is an app where your child can enjoy personalized storybooks featuring avatars crafted from their photo, and have playful, live chats with characters using our friendly AI feature (“Call a Character”).

We take privacy seriously. Here is a simple breakdown of how we handle your family's information.

What we collect from parents

• Email address: To obtain your consent for the use of your child's information to provide the experience.
• Phone number (optional): For promotional messages, only if you choose to receive them.
• Your name: To warmly greet and properly address you.
• Photos: To create personalized avatars, including images of you or your child. We never store them.

Your contact information is safe with us. We promise never to use it beyond what you explicitly allow.

What we collect from your child (with your approval)

• Photo: Briefly used to create an avatar, then immediately deleted.
• Eye color: To customize your child's avatar.
• Age (generalized): To ensure the content matches your child's age and developmental stage.

How we use your child's information

• Your child's photo helps craft their avatar and is deleted.
• Eye color and age ensure personalized, delightful experiences.
• We never share your child's information with outside marketers or advertisers.

Fun features for your child

• Receive charming updates and exciting character messages (push notifications).
• Have safe, engaging live conversations with their favorite Giant characters.

Your control: opt-out and data deletion

You can easily revoke your consent or request deletion of your child's information anytime by emailing us at hello@giant.org or using the app's settings. We'll immediately remove all data upon request.
