Giant App Creative Storytelling Scholarship

Giant exists to inspire imagination, creativity, and meaningful learning experiences for children through stories and characters, but none of that happens without storytellers. The Giant App Creative Storytelling Scholarship extends that goal to the students whose storytelling can help us carry our mission forward.

Stories can entertain and educate at the same time, giving young minds digestible lessons in a captivating way. This scholarship recognizes and supports students who demonstrate exceptional creativity and storytelling ability.

The deadline to apply is November 30, 2027. The winner will be announced on December 31, 2027.

You may apply if you meet all of the following:

• You are a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student
• You are a U.S. resident
• You are pursuing creative writing, English, film and media, animation, illustration, education, communications, digital media, graphic design, journalism, child development, or marketing

Submit your application on Bold.org. Your entry should include an original story for children that inspires imagination while teaching a positive lesson such as kindness, resilience, curiosity, or creativity.

Explain why you chose this message and how storytelling can positively impact young audiences.

Length: 1,000 to 7,500 words

Bold.org selects the winner on merit. Finalists may be contacted for additional information.

The $2,000 award is paid to the winner's financial aid office or directly to the winner for qualified educational expenses. Bold.org may verify enrollment status with a student ID or transcript.
